Self-help guru Julia James is so good at being single that she’s become famous for it-advising women that they don’t need a man to be happy. Then the unthinkable happens. Just when her newest book, 101 Ways to Cheat at Solitaire, is about to hit stores, a trumped-up piece of gossip linking her to a gorgeous actor hits the papers. Their pictures are splashed all over the tabloids, and now Julia’s credibility is about to hit rock bottom. But she isn’t going down without a fight. Unless, that is, the actor is going down with her. (http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/214619.Cheating_at_Solitaire)
An unusual love story, this book was. I thought it was about solitaire so I downloaded it, even though I never won at Solitaire. Then I learned that mostly, it’s not.
Julia is very good at being single that every single woman idolizes her (I don’t know that’s even possible) then the unthinkable happened, she was seen with a man and they were both smiling. It’s not a bad thing but the press people announced that the man (Lance) was her boyfriend and they’re getting married and blah blah blah. So after having her reputation ruined, she went to her hometown and thought things through.
And she fell in love.
“Talk now-hate later.” -Lance
