Avril Lavigne has always been a childhood icon of mine. Back when computers are still in the “bigger is better” phase, I already have her songs on repeat. I guess the pink-streaked blond-colored hair drew me in.
She just released her self-titled album early 2013 and being the neglectful fan that I am, I just downloaded the album a few weeks ago. It contained the famed “Here’s To Never Growing Up”, “Wish You Were Here”, and lots more. But what caught my attention was “Hello Heartache”.
Together with her distinct voice, the song has wonderful melody that you could easily melt into, lyrics that were dug from deep within, and that rock feel that we all just love.
